A multifaceted strategist and business and communications executive, John is recognized as a thought leader in engineering and technology trends, in media, and in the nonprofit association space. He's led industry-focused business development, high-visibility international projects, and headed award-winning content and sales operations for the past three decades.
He was Editor-in-Chief & Publisher of ASME's Mechanical Engineering magazine, and Senior Director of Media, Content & Strategic Relationships. He has also led teams and covered engineering and technology topics at companies including CMP Media, the CBS Weekend News, Crain Communications, Times Mirror, and others. He holds a graduate degree in journalism from Columbia University, undergraduate degrees in psychology and communications from Adelphi University, and a certification in digital marketing from the Yale School of Management.
Alan is a former senior editor at ASME’s Mechanical Engineering magazine. He wrote extensively on artificial intelligence, robotics, manufacturing, and economics. He has also been published extensively in publications as varied as Scientific American, Nautilus, and IEEE Spectrum, among many others. He also has served as editor of magazines and newsletters devoted to advanced materials, advanced coatings and surface technologies, environmental technologies, and homeland response. He was an econometric consultant and business analyst, and has fought forest fires for the U.S. Forest Service.
Karem is a journalist and communications executive with extensive experience in the Latin America market. She was the top producer at a leading Spanish-language morning news broadcast in Bolivia; developed numerous professional seminars on virtual classroom training; and is now a communications and media consultant.
Christian is an experienced audiovisual producer, photographer, graphic designer and creative director. Besides his studio work, he has been on location throughout the world capturing images and producing video and audio content ranging from those of indigenous populations, to sports events, fashion shoots, music videos and various others.
